Action Categories

Action Categories are used to help you further define and group your actions for filtering purposes.  They are not the same as Action Statuses, which you created earlier in Step 2: Status Codes.

When you later create an action, you can define its Status (e.g. scheduled, unscheduled, cancelled, etc., which you created earlier) as well as its Category.

1.Select Setup | General Lookup Tables from EventPro Planner’s main menu.
2.Select Action Categories from the drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3.Click the New button to the right.
4.The Action Category [New] window appears.
5.Enter the name of a Category for actions.  This may describe what the action is related to, e.g. Accommodation, Financial, Venue, Client, Internal, Marketing, Pre-Event General, Post-Event General, etc., or any other system that your company uses to categorize the actions that need to be completed.
6.Click Save.
