Here, you will list all of the functions that could be available during an event of this category. For example, perhaps you have an event category called “Tradeshow”. The “Tradeshow” describes the overall event, but there are several different activities or functions that occur within the event. For example, you could have a “Lunch”, “Post Lunch Coffee & Dessert”, “Afternoon Session” and so on. Review "What is a Function?" above. You will later group these functions into attendee registration packages (see Create Attendee Registration Packages below).
1.
Select the event category to which you want to add functions and click on the Functions tab.
2.
Click the New button to the right of the selection grid.
3.
The Event Function [New] window opens.
4.
From here, you can follow the instructions under Chapter 5: Set Up an Event, Organization Setup: Functions to review how to create a function.
5.
You can also copy a function in the selection grid to create a similar function. See Chapter 5: Set Up an Event, Organization Setup: Functions, Copy Button.
6.
Continue adding as many functions as you require for this event category template.
7.
Later, if you book an event using this event category template, the functions will be pulled into the Organization Setup | Functions tab of Event Setup.
8.
If you do not use the event category template when booking the event, but still want to use functions from a template, you can do so by copying the template into the Organization Setup | Functions tab of the Event Setup window. See Chapter 5: Set Up an Event, Organization Setup: Functions, Copy Template - Functions.
