Remove a Component
You can remove a component from a report in one of two ways:
1.
Delete the component.
a.
Click to highlight the component you want to delete. Ensure that you have selected the correct component, as it may overlap or be behind another object. Check the status bar to see what you have selected.
b.
Press the Delete key.
c.
If you delete the wrong component, select Edit | Undelete before doing anything else. This will restore the object.
2.
Make the component invisible. If you make the component invisible, it will still take up space in the report, but nothing will appear in that space when you run the report. You can use this option when you want to preserve the spacing and alignment of the report.
a.
Click on the component you want to make invisible. Ensure that you have selected the correct component.
b.
Right-click on the component and click Visible so that it is unchecked. The component will not appear to change, but it will no longer appear in the report when printed. To avoid confusion, you can erase the text of the component (if possible) so that it does not appear in the report layout.
